Vivo Mobile’s software platform for on-boarding and developing new advisors helps managers attract, retain and grow a digital-age field force by integrating innovative activity management concepts and skill development tools, in an environment that inspires self-management and accountability.
Modeled after Vivo Co-Founder John Baier’s industry-renowned 25-Point System, Vivo Mobile includes engaging features like leaderboards and a team-based social media feed. Built-in skill development tools introduce micro-learning content, and provide an interface that enables a producer to record scripts and selling techniques, submit to their trainer, manager or mentor, and gain feedback any time of day. At its core, the concept is built on game-like levels, allowing assignments, skill development and production goals to be set for each producer, and utilized as the criteria for incentives, rewards, and advancement opportunity.
Derek Wright began his career in the financial services industry in 1997 at the age of 23, spending twelve hour days clipping wedding announcements from the newspaper, calling mortgage leads, and whatever else it took to succeed. In the midst of a booming economy and a roaring bull market, cold calling worked.
In 2001, Derek’s hard work and commitment to excellence earned him a promotion to Sales Development Manager of New York Life’s New Hampshire Field Office, where, as architect of the company’s training and development program, he ultimately would become instrumental in driving production growth of over 40% in 2002 and 2003, while retaining new hires at a rate equivalent to four times the industry average. In 2004, he was again promoted to become Sales Development Manager of the New Jersey General Office, where he was a member of a management team responsible for $8 million in annual premium, and 240 financial advisors, beginning another three year stretch of 10% growth per year, while doubling the retention of new hires.
In 2008, Derek joined MassMutual Financial Group, and managed sales teams in Denver, Colorado, and Kansas City, Missouri for 3 years, before returning home to New England. In addition to qualifying for Sales Manager Summit in 2011 and 2012, he was the recipient of GAMA’s Front Line Leader Award, among countless other accolades and honors. Today, Derek is a Consultant and Private Business Coach for Financial Advisors and Entrepreneurs, and is co-Founder & CEO of Vivo Mobile, Inc., a software company providing gamified technology solutions to the Financial Services industry.
Derek’s passion for life, business and coaching others on the tools necessary to succeed is evident in the results he’s produced for himself and others. In addition to his business, he’s an accomplished mountain climber, skier, runner, and a die-hard Red Sox fan, residing in Boca Raton, FL with Erin and their son Jackson.
